Founded in 1990, Lik YekTrading Co. (now known as Lik Yek Sdn. Bhd.) was then a private trading company acting as sales agent for household and office furniture. Initially, it operated from an approximate 2,000 square feet warehouse, with only 4 staffs, comprising of the owner, a secretary, driver, and a salesperson. At that time, its market was focused in the Klang Valley, with monthly sales averaging between RM 600,000 to RM 700,000.

Between 1995 to 2002, the company had strive to develop its business operations and expand its market, subsequently forming :

• Home Best Enterprise Corporation Sdn. Bhd.
• Home Plus Furnishing Design Sdn. Bhd. with a total of 3 showrooms, situated in Petaling Jaya, Selangor; Kuantan, Pahang; and Muar, Johor.

Manufacturing Factories:

• Home Image Furniture Sdn. Bhd.
• Litchee Furniture Industries
• Lineshine Furniture Industry which are collectively known as Relax Group.

Following the rapid expansion and development of the company, it had recruited talents and skillful employees to improve its human resource. Subsequently resulting in successful introduction of the company's products to the whole of Malaysia and even foreign countries. Today, the company's flagship brands and can be found everywhere across Malaysia. The brand is the high-end product line while comprise of the more affordable furniture products.

Besides, the company also has a successful and proven track record in foreign markets such as the USA, France, Middle East, Australia, India, Mauritius, Maldives, Korea and other South East Asian countries. Foreign markets account for 40% of its total sales, while the remaining 60% are Malaysian sales. On top of that, our company was also awarded the 2002 Asia Pacific/ Malaysia Honesty Enterprise Keris Award.

Recently, the company's total employee increased to over 50 people, along with a 2-storey office and a 300,000 square feet (3 lots) warehouse. Currently, we also have an operation center in Southern China, handling the export of Chinese furniture, as well as importing Chinese furniture into Malaysia.

In the recent years, the company also recognizes that the foundation of rapid development and stable growth lies in having a good management system and excellent team of employees. Due to this, the company not only employed professional assistance on providing an effective management system, but also place great emphasis on the training of employees, stressing on mutual growth and development of both the company and its employees.

Year 2002, our company is awarded the 2002 Asia Pacific/ Malaysia Honesty Enterprise Keris Award; the following year, we have been once again won the Asia Pacific e-Entrepreneur Excellence Award 2003 in the category of Excellence Services and Malaysia 100 Outstanding SMEs - Golden Bull Award 2003.
